Originally constructed in the 1970's as a bank, the building that stands at the south-east corner of Seventh Avenue and Dolores Street has always stood out in the landscape of Carmel-by-the-Sea. The modernist architecture, once a controversial design for a building in 'charming' Carmel-by-the-Sea, has become a treasured landmark.
Under the respectful and dedicated stewardship of property owner, Jeff Peterson, the building was transformed in 2013 into a multi-use event venue.
In 2017, Gregory and Madigan Ahn with their team at the acclaimed Folktale Winery in Carmel Valley, acquired the restaurant and launched Seventh & Dolores Steakhouse.

Chef Todd Fisher, Vice President of Culinary & Hospitality for Folktale Group, is the passionate and visionary heart of 7D Steakhouse. He is constantly striving for excellence and infusing creativity and love into the experience.
Executive Sous Chef Raymundo Jimenez Aquino leads a back-of-house team of magicians to create a transcendent culinary experience in their glass-encased kitchen. While the marble bars and fresh seafood have been awe-inspiring, the showstoppers are the all-natural meats from Niman Ranch, included 28-day dry aged steaks that melt in your mouth, and a burger that has been known to induce actual tears of joy.
